Henderson gets a new discount grocer Sept. 3

Grocery Outlet is set to open in Cadence, giving southeast valley shoppers another low-cost option as the area keeps adding retail.

Henderson shoppers looking for a bargain will get a new option next week: Grocery Outlet is set to open Sept. 3 in Cadence, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The discount grocer will operate at 879 E. Lake Mead Parkway, adding another everyday shopping stop to the fast-growing southeast valley.

The opening is the latest sign that Cadence continues to build out as a residential hub, with new retail following the area’s housing growth. For nearby residents, the store means one more place to pick up groceries without driving farther into central Henderson or the Las Vegas Valley’s busier commercial corridors.

Discount grocers have found a receptive audience across the region as household budgets stay tight and shoppers look for lower prices on staples. A new Grocery Outlet in Cadence fits that pattern, offering a format built around value and frequent turnover rather than the broader selection of a traditional supermarket.

For locals, the practical impact is simple: another store, another opening date, and another reason the southeast valley keeps drawing attention from retailers. As Henderson expands, everyday conveniences like grocery stores are increasingly arriving alongside the homes and apartments that fill in the neighborhood map.
