A $70 million fieldhouse in West Henderson is preparing to open, giving the fast-growing city a new hub for sports, events and community gatherings.
Henderson’s west side is getting a major new gathering place. Henderson Sport and Social will open on Friday, Oct. 16, in a $70 million public-private fieldhouse built to serve the city’s rapidly expanding neighborhoods, the Las Vegas Sun and Nevada Business Magazine reported.
The Sun said the complex is designed to keep pace with explosive growth in West Henderson, where new subdivisions continue to rise. Nevada Business Magazine reported the venue will create a new place for residents to gather, compete and attend events.
For families moving into the area, the opening adds another layer of neighborhood infrastructure beyond homes and schools. Sports complexes like this often become informal community centers, especially in newer parts of the valley where public spaces are still catching up with housing growth.
The project also fits Henderson’s broader identity as one of Southern Nevada’s most active suburban growth markets. As the city expands, amenities like this are becoming part of the pitch.
