The Mesquite Women’s League of Voters hosted a candidates’ forum on Friday, Oct. 9, at the Mesquite Community Theatre, according to the Mesa Valleys Progress. The gathering gave voters a chance to hear from candidates in a setting that was public, local and immediate.

The Women’s League of Voters said the forum was meant to help residents compare positions and ask questions before Election Day. In a smaller city like Mesquite, that kind of direct civic contact can carry outsized weight, especially when voters want to hear answers without the filter of a campaign mailer or ad.

The forum also highlights how community theaters and civic groups often become the town square in smaller Nevada cities, where election-season events can feel more personal than partisan.

Details & Information: The forum was held at the Mesquite Community Theatre, according to the Mesa Valleys Progress.
