T-Mobile Arena’s outdoor plaza is getting a new name, and a high-profile boxing weigh-in will mark the change.
One of the Strip’s most visible gathering spots is getting a new identity. FOX5 reported that Toshiba Plaza outside T-Mobile Arena will be renamed Paramount+ Plaza, with the debut set for Sept. 11 during the Garcia vs. Benn boxing weigh-in.
The change gives the outdoor venue a fresh branding tie-in at a location that already serves as a pregame and pre-event hub for some of the valley’s biggest crowds. For concertgoers, hockey fans and tourists alike, the plaza sits at a natural crossroads of the Strip’s entertainment flow.
The timing is notable, too. Las Vegas continues to stack major events on top of one another, from boxing and basketball to concerts and festivals, and the plaza rename underscores how much of the city’s public-facing real estate now lives inside the entertainment economy.
For residents, it is another small but telling sign of how the Strip keeps evolving: familiar places can change names overnight, but they remain central to the city’s event calendar.
